We strive to encourage young readers to read more . We provide books and encourage youth to share books with friends once they are finished.

Vitamin C for Haiti

We collect bottles of Vitamin C to distribute to those in need. Please ensure the expiration date is at least 3 years away.

Self Denial

Self Denial began as an inspirational idea suggested by Mrs. Hazel Gomez, wife of Bishop Joseph Gomez. The idea transformed into a reality under the leadership of Mrs. Alma A. Polk, the first Connectional YPD Director and Mrs. Mamie Aiken continued the project. The First Self denial program was held in January, 1948. The program transition into Self Denial Week and is observed each year during the week of May 7th- 14th.
